Our mission is to create exceptional pure-plant products that are as luxurious as they are therapeutic. We also strive to spread knowledge about aromatherapy and the power of plants.

Our Story

Lavish began as a small home-based business driven by a passion for aromatherapy and a desire to share the benefits of plants with others. As a child, founder Carly Hansen showed an above average interest in health and beauty products.

At age 18 she took a job for a natural cosmetics company where she became introduced to botanical skin-care and the concept of aromatherapy. Her creative nature led her to begin experimenting with making her ownproducts at home. She self-studied aromatherapy, incorporating the healing benefits of plants into her formulas. Her family and friends all agreed the products were phenomenal. After some time, Carly decided to leave 

her job to invest time and resources into her business venture. She dreamed of one day owning her own store.

As a first step toward her goals, she sold products at local farmers markets, salons, boutiques and online. In 2004, the time was right. Carly teamed with her sister Jill Hansen to launch Lavish as a stand-alone retail

 store. Together, they transformed an incomplete, empty storefront into a sleek, stylish boutique. Since the inception, the Lavish store has continued to flourish, and the product line is ever-growing. The excellent customer service and unique concepts have established a loyal following of Lavish devotees.

Our Store

Lavish products are manufactured and sold exclusively at the Lavish store in San Diego, California. All products are expertly hand-made with botanical oils, plant extracts, essential oils and other natural ingredients. We offer a unique variety of lotions, soaps, perfumes, candles, face care, men's products, body scrubs and bath products.
