How to Use Essential Oils

There are numerous ways essential oils can be used and applied. When knowledge_howto_base.jpgpracticing  aromatherapy, Lavish recommends using a method that makes the most common sense in reaching the problem area or concern.

Essential oils are highly concentrated substances. Without proper dilution,  essential oils may cause    dermal irritation. It is advised to dilute them before applying them to the skin.

A base oil, also called a carrier oil, is a vegetable oil used to dilute essential oils. We recommend using Lavish’s 100% Pure Fractionated Coconut Oil or 100% Pure Jojoba Oil.

NOTE: Never use mineral oil as a carrier oil! It is a petroleum derived product, which cannot be absorbed by the skin. Using mineral oil can clog pores, trigger breakouts, and hinder the essential oils' ability to penetrate the skin.

ATTENTION: NEVER INGEST ESSENTIAL OILS. NEVER PUT ESSENTIAL OILS INTO OR NEAR EYES. ESSENTIAL OILS WILL IRRITATE MUCOUS MEMBRANES, PLEASE USE CATION.
